ABOUT THIS ART PIECE
This piece was created with the goal of making a powerful commentary on the heavy silence people within our world face and how malleable we are to absorbing negativity from our environment and our attempts to cope with the harsh reality of societal hate and pain without adequate outlets.

HOW IT'S MADE
This mixed media piece started on a piece of wood board. A collage using crime novel books was created, using coffee, tea and ink stained pages, occasionally burned. The face was added onto vellum using ink transfer and sketching with ink, and the words were hand drawn and cut out of vellum, some coloured with oil pastel, ink, and other mediums. Spray painted lace is added to frame the corners of the art, and real duct tape, stained with charcoal finish off this piece.
FRAMES, FINISHES, HANGING
Canvas: This art piece is created on wood composite board
Frame: This piece is finished with a 3/4 inch handmade reclaimed wood frame attached on the back of the piece (the artist's specialty, given she works with wood board as her canvas frequently)
Hanging: This piece has been pre-hung and features coated galvanized gallery wire attached to D-hooks for easy hanging
Finish: This piece has been sealed with the appropriate general matte varnish to ensure longevity and easier handling

NOTE: To be eligible for support, you must describe the problem, how the order was packaged, and provide clear pictures of the damaged item(s) and its packaging (outside of the packaging and any inserts) within 48 hours of receipt of item.
GENERAL RETURNS AND EXCHANGES
As each item is an original piece of art, we do not accept returns or exchanges at this time.
To reduce chances of issues, we recommend that you:
Measure your space and double check sizes of your art
Reminder: don't order items based on mock up graphics alone as they are for demonstrative purposes only and sizing may differ from actual measurements
Review and confirm any customizations or product details to ensure you are clear on the product you are receiving, and that it meets your needs before placing your order
Double check the canvas type and hanging details of each item
Read product descriptions before ordering
Read any notes on finishes
Be aware of slight differences in colours of final products from how they may appear on your digital screen displays, as outlined in section 5 of our Terms of Service page.
