ABOUT THIS ART PIECE
On reclaimed wood, financial news paper articles act as a moody background for highlighter, spray paint, and washes, building up to graphics hand painted on vellum highlighting internal struggles and decisions surrounding who we are and what we value. Trippy and bright text canvas cutouts bringing poignant messages - not to be lost in the impersonable background like the rest of our woes... Oh, and don't forget the cute, marketable signs as part of the series... Like your morals, they too are available, for a price.
As part of the Under $100 Art Show Promotion, this piece is priced to honour that show's discount.

HOW IT'S MADE
The artist continues to receive physical newspapers, which she uses for various art pieces. Pages from the Financials section are cut out and collaged onto reclaimed wood composite board, salvaged from being sent to the dump from a closet remodel (think closet shelving material). Once adhered with various layers of the artist's personal matte medium mix, key words are highlighted with standard highlighters, then a layer of gesso and rough high sprayed spray paint round out the background.
The lettering was created using separate canvas paint pouring, then using a craft cutter and utility knife to cut out each letter on the canvas from the paint pour, and adhered to the background. The lettering is then hand outlined in black using art pen. (I am often asked if this piece is digital - no, it's all Physically hand made and layered, and all images were hand painted).

PACKAGING:
Original Art being picked up or delivered within Calgary & Area will include corner protection, art padding (bubble wrap, acid and print free paper, or foam) and be packaged in a clear plastic bag for easy transport.
Original Art being shipped via courier will be packed in cardboard shipping boxes with corner protection and padding, with acid free padding over front of art (padding varies by art piece). In some cases, I-beams may be used for additional sturdiness.
Material may vary and we prioritize reusing appropriate packaging and boxes where possible to reduce waste.
SHIPPING INFORMATION
Production Time: Please allow 1, up to no more than 5 days for your art to be packaged before shipping. For delivery, transit time is typically 2–14 business days, depending on shipping location. Most items will arrive within 3 to 10 business days after order has been confirmed, but may vary by item, print partner, and shipping partner.
